Now Here is a Los Angeles based office that works to transgress the categorical distinctions between buildings, objects, texts, drawings, and interiors, to imagine alternative engagements with architecture. Formed in 2017, Now Here is equally interested in what is made present and manifest in/by architecture, as well as what is latent, thought, and suggested by it. Both Nowhere and Now Here, the work of the office looks to the reciprocity of ideas and things to generate new dispositions in the field.

Katy Barkan is a Los Angeles-based designer and current faculty at UCLA. Before coming to UCLA she was on the faculty at Harvard Graduate School of Design, where she also received her M.Arch.
